Testimonials
From the Bernina 830 Yahoo Group
"The 830 is the world's premier machine. It is everything all the others want to be and more. If you can think it the machine can do it!
96% of the problems with this machine are a result of improper threading of the needle but mostly improper threading of the bobbin. The bobbin thread must be in the fork, use your mirror to check if you are unsure. The fork is like the spring on a regular machine bobbin case. On the 830 it is located behind the clip you thread for embroidery. Look for it and be sure the thread is in the center of the fork and your problems will be a thing of the distant past."

Thank you...
Thank you very much for the wonderful day. The temperature was perfect, the whole staff was very helpful and smiling as usual and I won the most beautiful pack of fat quarters!
Hope the profits were good for the Ovarian Cancer Research program.
Thanks again to Michèle and her dedicated employees and friends.

Super!
CONGRATULATIONS on being featured in the Fall issue of BH&G, QUILT SAMPLER MAGAZINE. I'll certainly purchase that one come September 6th! I LOVED your shop and wish you were located closer to where I live in North Chili, NY, or that I lived closer to you!
When visiting a friend in Kanata recently, she asked me if I'd like to go to a local quilt shop. I responded, "Do I like chocolate?" We stopped in on our return from a golf outing, another of our favorite activities, and thoroughly enjoyed your wonderful, colorful, well stocked, well lighted and all around DELIGHTFUL "The Running Stitch"! In my estimation you have the SUPER quilt shop of quilt shops! Now, I've just read your BLOG and thoroughly enjoyed that, too.
I purchased some uniquely beautiful fabrics (candy for the eyes) at your shop and am heading to my sewing room right now for some therapeutic stroking and perhaps stitching!
Being featured in BH&G, QUILT SAMPLER is well deserved.
CONGRATULATIONS, June

Thanks so much Michele
It was such a pleasure to meet you on Saturday. We drove up from Toronto to pick up my son at Connaught Army Base and needed a little break before heading back down again. I 'Googled' quilt stores in Ottawa and yours was the closest to the Base. Am I ever glad I found you! I look forward to another trip to Ottawa so I can revisit the store.
Thank you for the John James straw needles, you are right, they are terrific. I will use them with pleasure as I do my Hawaiian appliqué. And the book on template free appliqué looks really interesting. I will give this method a try soon. It is a new system to me but it looks easy enough.
I also purchased the Reliable iron, you are right again, it is very good. I did see on the instructions that you can program the iron to stay 'on' by pushing the 'steam' button for 5 seconds. The iron will stay on, then, once it has been turned off it will revert to the default mode and turn off after 8 minutes. You may want to give that a try.
Thanks again, so nice to meet you, hope to be back soon,
Lynne
