Miriam Palewandrem
Miriam Palewandrem was born in Holland and moved with her family to Montreal, Quebec when she was a child. Her mother taught her to sew when she was ten and it’s been a part of her life ever since.
She’s had a few detours before arriving at The Running Stitch beginning with earning her BSc at Concordia University. The Palewandrems moved to Ottawa shortly after and raised their daughter before Miriam and her husband moved on to Edmonton, Alberta. During the three years that they lived out west, Miriam concentrated more on her quilting and learned to do machine embroidery.
Miriam’s creative background and great sense of humour are definite assets for The Running Stitch.
