Heidi Taylor
Heidi Taylor was born and raised in Ottawa where she has been sewing since she was a little girl. In her childhood, she cut up colouring books and did her own improvised version of hand appliqué, and from there, there absolutely no stopping her.
Heidi professes that she came from a "non-sewing family" but when she was 16, her mother gave her and her sister their first sewing machines. For Heidi, the sewing machine was the gateway into an incredible world. Heidi learned her sewing basics in school and at 4H and she's been soaking up any and all knowledge she can about sewing and fabric.
In her 20s, Heidi discovered hand embroidery and candle wicking which was largely learned from Creative Circle's home parties. Hand embroidery is one of Heidi's favourite pastimes which fits quite nicely with her teaching hand embroidery at the store. About 10 years ago, Heidi caught the quilting bug. She's hugely passionate about all things fabric. Heidi is a self-professed fabric addict and she would love nothing more than to share her passion and enthusiasm with you.
