Fran MarsonFran Marson was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She learned to sew in junior high school and decided she liked it enough to continue sewing her own clothes and later those of her two children. When Fran's daughter became old enough to decide for herself the styles she liked to wear, she rebelled against the outfits that Fran had been creating for her. So, Fran looked elsewhere to fulfill her desire to create art from fabric. The opportunity presented itself when some of the other ladies in her neighborhood created a quilting group and Fran became a member. She has been machine piecing, hand quilting and hand appliquéing ever since! That was more than 16 years ago and when Fran is not practicing the noble profession of nursing at CHEO she joins us here at The Running Stitch on Wednesdays. Come in and visit with Fran, her charm and knowledge will delight and inspire you..to create! |
