Kathy Orvis
Born in the Eastern Townships, Kathy is a nurse by training with a creative soul that she inherited from her mother (a weaver) and her grandmother (an artist). When Kathy was in college, she dabbled in all kinds of creative endeavors. She experimented with pottery and entered the world of quilting, which was mostly done by hand because at the time she didn’t have a sewing machine.
Kathy enjoys every aspect of her job at The Running Stitch, including cutting and folding fat quarters, and according to Michèle she’s a pro. She aims to help people find their dream fabric for whatever their project may be. Kathy says she likes to help inspire people to finish their projects. She is happy to spend a lot of time with every customer.
When Kathy isn’t at The Running Stitch, chances are she’s off baking, working in her garden or hosting dinner parties.
